A Belhar community has been rocked by the discovery of a dismembered body.
A passer-by alerted police after he found a limb of an unknown person along Erica Drive this week.
Police attended to the complaint and upon further investigation – they found the rest of the man’s body.
The police’s Frederick Van Wyk says no arrests have yet been made.
“Members immediately responded, and on further investigation, the rest of the body of an unidentified male with multiple stab wounds was found on an open field next to Erica Drive in Belhar. It is confirmed that both legs of the deceased were chopped off below the knees.”
Police are investigating the circumstances of this matter, and another murder that took place in the same area over the weekend.
A man was gunned down and his body was found along Erica Drive.
