An employee from the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, has been fingered as the person behind the 95 Libyans gaining illegal entry into South Africa.
The group had been nabbed at a covert military training camp in White River, Mpumalanga, in July.
The Home Affairs Department says it’s found irregularities in the issuing of visas to the Libyan national.
The department shared its preliminary investigation findings at a meeting of the Home Affairs Portfolio Committee, at Parliament on Tuesday.
