The deadline for the suspension of some taxi ranks and routes in Cape Town will expire this week.
But, it’s unclear whether rival taxi associations, CATA and Codeta, will meet before Friday’s deadline expires.
Mobility MEC , Isaac Sileku implemented a 30-day suspension in September, due to escalating violence between these groups.
Last week, the Western Cape High Court dismissed Codeta’s attempt to interdict the suspension.
Sileku says he hopes the associations, will iron out their issues.
