The Golden Arrow Bus Company says the disciplinary hearing against the driver who left a pupil stranded in Simon’s Town, is still underway.
The company also says the matter is confidential, and won’t speculate on the outcome.
The driver had been suspended, after he refused -year-old Lifalethu Mbasana entry onto the bus last Monday.
The Grade 6 pupil then walked more than 30 kilometres from Simon’s Town to his home in Makhaza, Khayelitsha.
Golden Arrow has, since, confirmed that it’s company policy to allow uniformed learners on board, whether or not they’re in possession of a ticket.
Lifalethu’s mother, Xolelwa Mbasana wants the driver to be taken off this route.
She says her son still bears the scars of that day.
