South Africa has more than 1.7 million students who are pursuing higher education in 2025.
However prospective students are either not properly informed or struggle to secure a spot at a tertiary institution.
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology is hosting an open day, on Saturday, to help students decide on a career choice.
Spokesperson, Lauren Kansley says it’s a hands-on experience.
Despite thousands of applications .. the competition to secure a spot is cut throat.

The Open Day runs from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, 10 May, at CPUT’s Bellville campus.
