The heavy rains lashing the Cape are expected to continue for at least the rest of Tuesday.

Cape Town disaster management teams are on high alert this week to assist with weather-related incidents.

The City’s Disaster Risk Centre says they’re still expecting more rain, accompanied by strong winds, and rough seas.

Mayor, Geordin Hill-Lewis, is urging residents to be cautious in the wet weather.

“Fire and Rescue, as well as the Disaster Risk Management crews, are ready to help with localised flood incidents or waterlogged areas. Please call the City’s call centre or visit the website to log issues”.
