A ceasefire deal has been struck between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

In addressing the nation last night, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netenyahu, outlines reasons for the agreement.

He says they will now focus on the threat from Iran, replenish depleted arms supplies, and isolate Hamas.

During the 60-day ceasefire, Israel is expected to withdraw its troops from Lebanon’s south.

Netenyahu has warned, though, that Israel will not hesitate to strike again, saying they can essentially end this ceasefire whenever they want.

Meanwhile, the agreement has the backing of the US.
