Cape Town officials say another four vehicles have been set alight in Gugulethu.

The township’s tense this Thursday, with police and protesting locals at a stand-off.

City Fire’s Theo Layne says the latest attack happened near an electricity depot; “…where they set four motor vehicles and one storeroom alight,” confirms Layne.

Earlier; Gugulethu’s fire station was targeted.

Offices in front and at the back of the station, including a security company’s bakkie, were torched.

We now understand residents want the City to buy land for decent housing.

This is a recurring demand, coming out of numerous protests seen across the Western Cape this year.
