The Bonteheuwel community has been warned of possible retaliation, following an alleged gang-related shooting there.
Ward councillor, Angus Mckenzie, says the shooting occurred in Juniper Street on Friday morning.
A single person was wounded.
Mckenzie says law enforcement officers have already managed to apprehend the suspects, but warns that continued gunfire is likely.
“We are appealing to residents to be cautious over the next 48 hours with threats of retaliation expected. The shooting is gang-related, driven by a dispute between 2 rival gangs. Law Enforcement agencies are on patrol and will increase visibility to ensure safety and calm in the area.”
