Bail has been granted for two men, accused of mass murder in Khayelitsha.

Athule Mtsha and Sithisa Masiko are before the courts, facing four counts of murder and 11 of attempted murder, in connection with a mass shooting at Mzwa Barbershop last month.

Both men claim to have been wrongfully accused.

Today, Magistrate Brendale Abrahams, released the pair on 10 and 5 thousand Rand respectively.

Mtsha’s lawyer, Phindile Vepile, says his client has been warned to follow strict bail conditions.


The case resumes in the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court on Monday, but is expected to be postponed again, for further investigation.
