Former ambassador to the US Ebrahim Rasool, will head up the ANC’s newly established Western Cape task team.
This new structure has been tasked,with wooing voters, ahead of next year’s local government elections.
It must also ensure unity,within provincial branches.
Factionalism has affected the ANC in the Cape, for many years.
The party believes it has contributed,to its inability to make meaningful gains in the province… during elections.
Here’s the task team’s provincial spokesperson, Sifiso Mtsweni.
Political analyst, Professor Bheki Mngomezulu, says some of them have caused the factions, we are witnessing today.
He believes the task team won’t improve the current situation.
