The ANC in the Western Cape says its 9th elective conference has been postponed yet again.
It was scheduled to take place this upcoming this weekend,
But was moved till later in September 2022.
The conference was apparently postponed to ensure that all necessary procedures are adhered to, and all structures complete their work.
Out of five regions, only two have been successfully convened.
The ANC’s Sifiso Mtsweni says preparations for the provincial conference are still ongoing.
“The IPC has therefore resolved to reschedule the date of the Provincial Conference to the 30th of September till the 2nd of October 2022 in order to ensure that all necessary processes are adhered to and that all structures are given an opportunity to complete their work. The IPC has further agreed to align the membership renewal cut-off date to that of the national conference which is the 3rd of September 2022”.
