An alleged gangster accused of murdering a police Constable will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court, on Monday 5 December 2022.
Ashwin Pedro was gunned down in Parkwood last week Thursday.
It’s understood that Pedro and his partner had an altercation with the suspect.
The perpetrator then shot Pedro in the chest, while his colleague escaped the incident unharmed.
The Grassy Park Community Police Forum has conveyed its sincere condolences and sympathies to the family of Constable Pedro as well as the Grassy Park SAPS members.
Chairperson, Melvin Jonkers says they want the suspect to be denied bail.
“The Grassy Park CPF welcomes the arrest of the suspect a few hours after the incident. We call upon on the Department of Justice to deny him bail, and ensure that he remains in custody until he’s sentenced to life in prison”.
