Nine police officers have been implicated in an investigation report – into the circumstances surrounding the murder of detective Charl Kinnear.
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has announced its decision to declassify the report.
The document was sealed in 2022 – two years after Kinnear’s assassination outside his Bishop Lavis home.
This was in an attempt to protect sensitive information of witnesses – and the implicated officers – who were yet to be charged, at the time.
