Its been 100 days since President Cyril Ramaphosa’s new executive was sworn in.

The executive is made up of 32 ministers and their 43 deputies.

This bloated cabinet was appointed to accommodate the various political parties who’d signed the statement of intent, to form a Government of National Unity.

The GNU was established after the ANC surprisingly failed to obtain the majority vote, in the May general elections.. ushering in a new political era in South Africa… 30 years into democracy.

Political analyst Ntsikelelo Breakfast, is of the view that coalition politics is the future…


and Breakfast believes it’s too early to say whether this GNU will last, for the full 5-year term or not…
